Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ Energy Healing

Energy healing is a broad term for practices that work with the body’s subtle energy field (or biofield) to support physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The basic principle is that our energy field influences our health. When we experience stress, illness, or emotional imbalance, the energy field and the energy centers (often called “chakras”) can become blocked or congested.

Energy healing practices, such as Pranic Healing and Reiki, aim to clear these disruptions, rebalance the flow of energy, and support the body’s natural ability to heal. These are sometimes referred to as “biofield therapies,” where the practitioner works with the field of energy that surrounds and permeates the body.

People often experience relaxation, a sense of calm or spaciousness, warmth or tingling, emotional release, and sometimes insights or inner guidance during or after a session.

Energy healing is considered a complementary approach and is not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment.

Pranic Healing is a biofield therapy and energy healing system developed by Master Choa Kok Sui. It works with "prana" or "chi," the life force that flows through and around the body. The basic idea is that energetic imbalances often show up before physical or emotional symptoms. By working on the energy body, we support the physical body and emotions to return to balance.

Pranic Healing draws from the essences of several traditional healing systems, including Chinese Chi Kung, Christian “laying on of hands,” Tibetan healing arts, and others, and organizes them into a clear, practical system.

In a Pranic Healing session, the practitioner uses specific techniques to scan, cleanse, and energize the biofield and energy centers, without physical touch. It is a no-touch, non-religious system that can complement your existing wellness or spiritual practices and support your body’s natural healing process.

People typically experience deep relaxation, a sense of lightness or spaciousness, warmth or coolness in certain areas of the body, tingling, or a feeling that “something is being cleaned out.” Emotional release, such as tears or a sense of relief, can also happen. Some people feel immediate inner peace or clarity, while others notice gradual shifts over the days following a session.

Many people report faster improvement of physical or emotional symptoms when supported by Pranic Healing as part of their overall wellness plan.

Pranic Healing is not a replacement for medical or psychological care. It is a complementary practice that can support your overall healing process.

Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and energy practice that supports stress relief and a sense of calm. A practitioner gently channels healing energy through the hands, either lightly touching or hovering over the body, while you relax.

You can think of it as creating a safe space for your system to unwind. As you relax, your body and energy can begin to rebalance themselves. The real healing work is a partnership between you, your own inner intelligence, and the higher power or Source as you understand it. The practitioner is simply a facilitator for that process.

People typically experience deep calm, a sense of being held or supported, warmth or coolness in different parts of the body, gentle waves of energy, or a floating or heavy feeling as the body relaxes. Some people see colors or images in their mind’s eye, or notice emotions coming to the surface to be felt and released. Others simply feel rested and peaceful afterward.

Reiki is a complementary modality and does not replace medical or mental health treatment.

Pranic Healing and Reiki are both energy-based practices, but they have different approaches and structures.

Reiki is rooted in Japanese tradition and usually involves gently placing hands on or just above the body to channel universal life energy. The focus is often on creating deep relaxation and allowing the body’s energy to rebalance itself, guided by intuition and the flow of energy.

Pranic Healing is a no-touch system that places strong emphasis on scanning, cleansing, and energizing the biofield and energy centers. Practitioners follow specific protocols for different physical and emotional conditions. The work is often more technical and targeted, focusing first on removing congested or “used-up” energy and then energizing the affected areas with fresh prana.

Both practices can support relaxation and overall well-being. Some people are drawn more to the gentle, hands-on style of Reiki, while others appreciate the structured, protocol-based approach of Pranic Healing. Many clients find that the two complement each other well.

All of these modalities are considered complementary. They are not replacements for medical or psychological care but can be powerful supports on your healing journey.

Yes! Pranic Healing is a gentle, non-invasive biofield therapy system. There is no physical touch, no substances, and no manipulation of the physical body. The work is done in your energy field by cleansing used-up or congested energy and then energizing with fresh prana, or life force, to support your body’s natural healing ability.

Pranic Healing is not a religion and does not replace any spiritual or religious path. It is a system of working with energy that can be practiced by people of many different beliefs or none. Everyone is encouraged to think for themselves and practice intelligent evaluation. Many clients feel this work deepens their existing spiritual connection rather than replacing it.

Everyone can benefit! Even if you don't believe in this, all that's required is an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out. Common issues people come for help include:

  • Experiencing stress, overwhelm, or burnout
  • Moving through big life changes, grief, or transition
  • Dealing with emotional patterns like anxiety, sadness, anger, or resentment
  • Working on physical challenges and wanting extra energetic support
  • Deepening a spiritual path and wanting practical tools and support

Studies on energy therapies like Reiki and other biofield approaches suggest potential benefits such as reduced stress, improved mood, and better quality of life for some people, although more research is still needed.

Energy work can be a powerful tool alongside the inner work and outer actions you are already taking.

FAQ Sound Healing

Sound healing uses instruments and the voice to create vibrations that help the body and mind relax. When you relax deeply, your nervous system can begin to release stress and the energy in your body can start to move and clear.

In a typical session, we use sound with clear intention, inviting stuck or heavy energy, such as old emotions or stress, to gently release. Many people experience sound healing as a soothing way to reconnect with their body, feelings, and inner guidance.

People often report deep relaxation, a sense of calm, feeling lighter or clearer, gentle waves of emotion, tingling or warmth in different parts of the body, and sometimes images, insights, or messages from their inner world. Some people fall asleep, which is also okay. Your experience may be subtle or strong, and both are normal.

If you are curious to learn more about sound and vibration, here are a few videos you might enjoy:

Sound healing is a complementary practice and is not a replacement for medical care or treatment.

In my sound healing sessions, I typically use a blend of instruments including singing bowls, tibetan bowls, and voice. In my group events, I use singing bowls, tibetan bowls, shamanic drum, voice, violin, and music production software (ableton) to help me enhance the sound healing. These instruments create layers of vibration that help the nervous system relax and support the movement and clearing of stagnant energy in the body and biofield.

Everyone responds to sound a little differently. It is normal to prefer some tones and find others more intense. Sometimes a sound that feels “scratchy” or uncomfortable is actually bringing your awareness to an area in the body that is holding tension or emotion. This is often an opportunity for release and can help you receive deeper healing by sitting with the tension or discomfort.

You are always encouraged to listen to your body: you can adjust your position, place a blanket over your ears slightly, or let me know if a particular instrument feels too loud or too much. We can usually modify the volume, distance, or choice of instruments so you still feel safe and supported.

Listening to music on your own can definitely be relaxing and supportive. Sound healing is different in that it uses specific instruments, frequencies, and live intention to support relaxation, energy clearing, and inner awareness.

In a session, you are invited to fully rest, with no distractions, while the sound is designed to guide your system into deeper states of calm and openness. The combination of live vibration, intentional pacing, and a held space often allows people to go deeper than they do with background music alone. Clinical and meditation research suggests that structured sound interventions and sound baths can reduce stress, anxiety, and tension beyond ordinary listening. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5871151/

FAQ CACAO

Cacao and cocoa are related but not the same. Ceremonial grade cacao is a much less processed form of chocolate. Most commercial cocoa has the cocoa butter (fat) removed and is heated and processed in ways that reduce many of its natural nutrients.

The cacao I serve, Keith's Cacao, is 100 percent pure cacao-bean paste. It contains the natural fats, high amounts of magnesium, antioxidants (such as vitamins A, C, and E, beta-carotene, and manganese), flavanols, potassium, and theobromine. Cacao is often described as a superfood because it is rich in these beneficial compounds.

When used in a ceremonial way, many people experience a feeling of warmth or expansion in the heart, a deeper sense of connection with themselves and others, more ease in feeling and releasing emotional blocks and patterns, a clearer sense of inner guidance or “higher self,” and support for meditation, creativity, and reflection.

People typically report feeling more present in their body, gently uplifted in mood, more open emotionally, more connected to their heart, and sometimes more focused or creatively inspired. For some, the effect is very subtle. For others, it can feel like a gentle energetic or spiritual “nudge.”

Cacao is not a drug or a hallucinogen. It is a gentle plant ally that can support emotional and spiritual work when used with respect and intention. If you have health conditions, are pregnant, or are sensitive to stimulants, please check with your healthcare provider and let me know in advance.

Cacao is optional in the ceremony, and you are always welcome to participate with or without drinking it.

FAQ Sessions

Experiences vary a lot from person to person, and even from session to session. Many people report:

  • Deep relaxation and a quieter mind
  • A sense of lightness or spaciousness, or being “cleared out”
  • Pain reduction or less physical tension
  • Warmth, coolness, tingling, or gentle waves of energy in different parts of the body
  • Emotions rising to the surface being released, sometimes with tears or laughter
  • Insights, images, or a clearer perspective on situations in their life

Some people feel immediate shifts in mood, clarity, or pain levels. Others notice more gradual changes over the next few days as the energy integrates. It is also possible to feel very subtle shifts, or “nothing much” during the session, and still have positive changes unfold afterward. All of these responses are normal.

Because sessions can be deeply relaxing, it is ideal to give yourself a little space afterward to rest, drink water, and notice how you feel.

You do not need to do anything elaborate or meditate perfectly. A relaxed, open attitude and basic curiosity are enough. If you want to make the most of our time together, here are some suggestions:

  • Hydrate well before and after
  • Shower or freshen up before if you can. It is often recommended to wait 12–24 hours to shower or bathe after a session, as it can take time for the energy to absorb into your system, much like lotion absorbing into the skin.
  • Avoid recreational drugs or heavy alcohol for at least 24 hours before
  • Take a few minutes to reflect on what you would like support with and what your intention is
  • Arrive or log in a little early so you do not feel rushed

You are always free to ask questions before we start. Your open mind, honest intention and willingness to receive are the most important parts.

That depends on what we are working with.

Some people feel a meaningful shift after one session, especially for simple or short-term issues. Others with deeper, chronic, or long-standing patterns may benefit from a series of sessions, sometimes focused on a specific theme like anxiety, grief, or a physical condition like thyroid issues, cancer, or other more serious illnesses.

There are many factors when it comes to healing. Here are a few of them:

  • How long the issue has been present
  • How intense or complex it is
  • How much support you have in other areas of life (sleep, nutrition, therapy, medical care, spiritual practice, etc.)
  • How willing you are to make small lifestyle or mindset shifts between sessions
  • Your diet or exercise plan
  • The environment you live in

We can always talk together about a plan that feels realistic and supportive for you.
